You have the power to help Cool-Challenge cut carbon dioxide emissions
and meet the challenge of global warming.

The Challenge

Take the Challenge!    Reduce your CO2 emissions (and save money along the way). Challenge for Institutions.

Tell Your Friends

If everyone steps up to the challenge, we'll make global warming history. Here's how.

Start a Team

Get your workplace, congregation, or neighborhood signed up to make an even bigger impact. Start a new team anytime. Then, when someone takes the challenge (or later), they can add their savings to your team total. See all teams.

Become a Partner

Become a partner.   Businesses, organizations, governments, and others can become partners in this unprecedented regional campaign. Help your customers or members cut their carbon emissions. Here's how.

Donate

Donate to Cool-Challenge.  We still have 99% of the way to go,and, so far, Cool-Challenge has been largely a volunteer effort. It will take a lot more to turn all of those pledges into real carbon dioxide reductions. Help us turn the tide.

Cool-Challenge in a Nutshell Script

Chat up your friends and colleagues with this sample script:
I'm helping an all-volunteer local effort to reverse the climate crisis.  It's called the Cool-Challenge.  It's a one-year, one-billion-pound carbon diet for Northeast Illinois.  It's amazing- we're already started on our way toward our goal, and we're looking for people who care to join us in saving money and energy. The idea is, instead of waiting for other people to act, we can all work to help each other make the changes right now - in our homes, our businesses, our schools, our congregations. Check out the website www.coolcapital.org for tips on how to get started.
